Wakaya kava is comprised of 100% precious Waka root — no additives, no fillers, and none of the leaves, twigs or branches commonly ground into other brands.

Each batch is single-sourced from family farms, hand planted, hand harvested, grown exclusively in virgin, volcanic soil and irrigated with nothing but pure rainwater. 

While other companies harvest immature kava in as few as 12 months and then flash-dry it at high temperatures, Little Steven's Underground Apothecary does just the opposite. We allow our kava to mature for at least five years, after which we solar dry it for weeks to preserve its precious medicinal properties.
